The club will shortly be selecting a squad of junior athletes to compete in the forthcoming JSB Forth Valley League. The JSB League is a team competition against other local clubs. Over the past few years Musselburgh athletes have put in some excellent individual performances, and for this year we are competing in Division 2. We would like to see a good turnout from Musselburgh athletes and hope you will be part of it!
The JSB League is a great opportunity for club members who are relatively new to athletics to experience competition for the first time. The events are very enjoyable and are open to all athletes who will be aged between 9 and 14 on 31 August 2011 (you have to be aged at least 9 on the day of each competition). The club plans to enter teams in the following age groups: U11 Boys U11 Girls U13 Boys U13 Girls U15 Boys U15 Girls We hope to be in a position to allow most athletes to participate in the competition. However, if we are over subscribed in one age group, selection will be based on the following criteria: 1 – Commitment demonstrated during training sessions 2 – Performance at the 2010 Club Championships (for older athletes) If you would like to be selected for the squad please complete the attached slip, indicating which dates you expect to be able to attend, and return to any of the coaches.
