The latest race in the club championship was held yesterday at Berwick Upon Tweed and it turned out to be a perfect day for running weather wise although the course was quite tough but cross country races are meant to be. It was basically along the beach for a mile, then up a steep grassy hill which could only be walked up, along the clifftop trails before turning around and coming back the same way. The sand was deep and soft so made for tough going, especially near the finish.

A flurry of late call offs led to a depleted squad setting out for the Mull Half Marathon. A combination of injuries, work commitments and general apathy had taken its toll!
