Welcome to Musselburgh and District Athletic Club

We welcome athletes of all abilities from Musselburgh, East Lothian and Edinburgh. The junior section provides coaching in track and field events for children aged 8 upwards. We also have qualified coaches who put together training programmes for our senior running club

We enter senior teams in cross country events and juniors in a range of summer and winter leagues.  Organised events range from fun to serious, providing something for everyone. If you’d just like to join us to keep fit or go out for a nice jog with a friendly group then please feel free to come along.

Within this site you can get the latest news at the club, review our training schedules, learn about upcoming events, find out more information about the club and so much more.  If you have any questions we would love to hear from you.

Musselburgh 2015 Festival 10k, Juniors 3k and Fun Run

Congratulations to all who ran in the Musselburgh Festival 10k, Juniors 3k and Fun Run events this year.  Some challenging conditions with those strong winds, so well done all.

Particular congratulations to Andrew Duncan and Laura Dunn on their victories at today’s Musselburgh 10k festival race.

Many thanks to the marshals and all who volunteer and help to make the event such a success each year. Thanks in particular to the committee, the starter, the Honest Lad and Lass and attendants, Redpath Kitchens and Bathrooms, Loretto School, Run4It, Chris Shepherd at Stuweb Timing timing and many others.

The club is always on the lookout for volunteers for a range of duties. If you are interested in helping out in any way then please contact a member of the committee for more information.

We are always looking out for people to help with the junior section of the club. You do not need any experience in athletics coaching (although if you have some then that’s a bonus) or a need to be athletic yourself. If you enjoy it, training courses are available in various areas. If you volunteer there is no obligation to help every week, its completely up to you how much time you give.

We are also interested to hear from people who are keen to get involved in the Committee. There are various opportunities to help out on the Committee (you don’t have to be a runner or a coach). Parents of junior members are welcome and indeed encouraged to get involved in the Committee.
