Adults

The senior’s sections is made up of all ages and a broad cross-section of abilities, but with one thing in common – they all enjoy running in a relaxed, friendly environment. You won't be left behind by any group either with our ethos of first person run to the back if you're getting ahead!

Our Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday sessions set off from various locations in Musselburgh at 7pm and all sessions are operated in accordance with up to date COVID-19 regulations. All training will be run by an experienced Coach or Jog Leader and you need to book onto a session in advance using a facility called Team App. All potential new members are very welcome to join us up to 3 free trial sessions. If you complete the enquiry section at the foot of this page, we will forward details of Team App and give further information about how you can sign up to a session.

Tuesday – rep session and longer run of 5 miles and more. These are the fastest sessions of the week.

Wednesday (Jogscotland Musselburgh) - rep session, and 3 and 4 mile groups. We run a couch to 5k programme annually commencing in the spring for new and returning runners however due to Covid restrictions we have been unable to offer this in 2020 and 2021.

Thursday - steady run of five miles.

Saturday - training is at Pinkie Playing Fields. This will be a rep session / cross country training for Juniors and Adults.

Other training runs are organised by members through Team App. These will vary but most Sundays you’re likely to find groups heading out from Musselburgh Harbour for longer runs and others heading to the Pentlands and the Lammermuir hills.

Membership is £35 per annum. So for less than 50p per week you can attend as many of the sessions above every week and there's no additional charge. You can join half-way through the year for half-yearly rates. And if all that's not enough you'll get:

  • Access to specialist coaching.

  • Discounts at specialist sports shops and FASIC sports injuries clinics.

  • Monthly social evening (Covid permitting)

  • Paid entry fees for certain races.

  • Club Champion, handicap, JogScotlander and volunteer annual trophies.

  • Access to local races run by other running clubs.

Please come and try first. We allow runners to join us for three sessions before we then ask them to join. Join Musselburgh and District Athletic Club.
